    Home charging and rapid charging are both important

    People are unwilling to charge an EV for 30 mins while at the grocery store

    “this looks like a classic rural vs urban policy debate.”

    So the author is not up on EV charging issues and might not be the best source for this 3rd hand opinion that author admits is not based on his knowledge of the issue.

    A travel EV charging system is priority No. 1:

    1. 67% of Canadians will have home charging.
    2. Travel network serves rural and urban drivers.
    3. Travel network serves homeowners and renters.

    sounds like the author missed the mark on this one. we need a robust travel charging network to serve all drivers, not just focus on home charging. rural and urban areas have different needs, and we can’t ignore either.

    Maybe I missed something but isn’t the Canadian governments’ plan to do nothing and expect things to work out? Mandate EVs and invest nothing in charging.
