I’ll be honest I don’t know much about cars and as a kid I loved Range Rover for some reason. Time passed by and upon finishing high school my father bought me a 2018 velar as a surprise, I didn’t know how to react back then I was happy that he cared and remembered how I loved the car as a kid but as I got older I never really wanted a Range Rover let alone a velar. And I wasn’t really looking for a car back then I would’ve preferred to save up and buy one when I have my mind set on a car.

Currently a Porsche seems like the best option to me, I love bigger cars so a cayenne seems like a good fit. The problem is I’m too unpredictable I know for a fact I could wake up the next day hating Porsche for whatever reason without even driving it. This post might feel strange I just want a general advice on how I should approach this and whether a Porsche cayenne is overall a better car than the velar. Also I’m not too sure on the year models so let me know if there is one you’d suggest.

Thanks in advance!

Modern LR/RR are total shit so if that’s what you prefer this probably will disappoint you. Having said there a better SUvs than a Porsche. I also would not consider a Cayenne close to “a bigger car”

Other than “liking bigger cars”, what else do you look for in a car? A Cayenne could work for you, or even a Panamera or Taycan if you like sedans.

Go and test drive them, along with other brands, and see what speaks to you. You won’t know what you like until you drive them.t

Noted. In general how would you compare a Porsche (cayenne) to a Range Rover (velar)? Is it worth the switch in your opinion?

This is such a weird way to ask: “Velar vs Cayenne?”

You seem to be focused on the brand image of the Porsche badge moreso than any features, capabilities or mechanicals of the actual car. It doesn’t matter what you drive in that case, and internet strangers aren’t here to persuade you one way or another.

I didn’t word this properly my mistake. I definitely care about the capabilities of the car. I didn’t mean for it to come out the way it did. If you can share your experience with the cayenne I’ll be grateful. And is the velar to cayenne worth the switch everything considered in your opinion?
