This is not at all a post crapping on the Deck! I think it’s such an awesome device. I just haven’t been able to get myself to use it. Every couple of months I’ll take it out of the carrying case and look at how nice it is, but I don’t even turn it on most of the time.

I think part of it is that I don’t really know what to use it for. And the other part is knowing that there’s a more powerful handheld device out there (Ally) and I feel like I made the wrong purchase. I mostly play games that require high framerates and from everything I’ve read, the Deck really struggles with everything outside of 2D indies or 3D games on low settings.

I hope that I’m very wrong and just have the wrong idea about the Deck entirely. I mostly play on console and otherwise play MMOs on my desktop. I don’t do any traveling. What would be the best use for the Deck? I really want to start using it but maybe I need some guidance.

Please help me find my way! :)

When it comes to “recent” Triple A games , the deck is a 30 - 40 fps device , if you have not played on pc then you want to understand how upscaling works , you also want to understand which graphic settings you want to change to low and which graphic settings that you want to medium / high, In my opinion if your not in to tweaking these things then maybe the deck wasn’t for you, and if it isnt that’s okay, not end of world , you can always sell it off to someone who’s interested
