Hello. I’m looking for a BMW X1 F48 2019 to buy in the Netherlands as my first BMW but I’m worried about maintenance costs and reliability.

I normally look for mileages below 50.000 km but I found a very nice priced one at 58.000 km with nice optionals. Is 58.000 km too much and will cause me headaches when it comes to maintenance?

But about BMW X1’s in general, should I expect to spend a lot more on maintenance per year than the average car? What is you opinion?

Dawg I bought an 03 330i with 187k (all units are in miles) and my brother bought a 99 328i with 205k and both are fine. Just do the maintenance yourself. I’m only at 191k right now, but my brothers 328i just got sold to some friends of ours and currently has 287k. Both are completely fine and 100% reliable, with the 328 not having a single engine code for almost two years.

TLDR: stop whining about mileage, the only thing that matters is maintenance.
