So I just set up EmuDeck on the OLED and transfered my Switch games to test them. I started Pokemon Violet and upon loading my save was greeted with a pretty steady 28-30 FPS in an area where I quit the game on my LCD Deck because I wasn’t getting more than 22 FPS at best.

I thought maybe Yuzu recieved an update in the meantime that drastically improved the performance so I also got my LCD Deck and updated it to be on the same SteamOS and Yuzu version with the exact same settings and loaded the save game.

I got 18-19FPS with the CPU only drawing 2W. Turning off SMT via PowerTools got me to 22FPS and 7-8W CPU power.

However with the OLED Deck, it doesn’t make a difference if SMT is on or off, in both cases I get around 9W CPU power draw (while still having ~1W less overall compared to the LCD Deck) and 28-30FPS in that same area.

Zelda TotK got a good boost too, although it’s still not really enjoyable to play on the Deck, but in areas where the LCD Deck still drops to 15-20FPS, the OLED Deck manages to stay above 20.

Xenoblade Chronicles 3 also runs at 27-30FPS so far, the LCD Deck regulary dropped to 25 and below.

As I said I’ve ran the LCD Deck with the exact same configuration and SteamOS 3.5.7 and the SMT bug is still there
