Hello! I’m a 3D artist, and my dell Laptop has been very reliable and working good. The specs are as follows:
Processor11th Gen Intel® Core™ i7-1165G7 @ 2.80GHz 1.69 GHz
RAM 16.0 GB
Iris Xe Graphics.
It’s a great computer, but as you can see, the graphics aren’t good. I would like to add an RTX or similar graphics card. Of course, that would turn the laptop into a stationary pc. But I really don’t mind that.
Would I need to consider any other thing? I know this idea is a bit unhinged, but i’d rather do this than buy another pc. Since this one runs like a charm.
Thanks!
Yes…ish.
Using the Thunderbolt port you can add an eGPU.
If you mean using an eGPU, that depends on whether your laptop supports Thunderbolt, and you will need an external GPU dock.
If you mean putting a GPU in the laptop, that would be impossible.
I’ll investigate that option, thank you
