    I don’t know why you got down voted. well yes, too much oil in an engine can cause issues. Being this little bit over is fine.

      Glad you guys are saying this. I put an extra half quart in my toyota every oil change because it leaks about a half quart every 5000 miles. By the time I change it, it’s at the full mark or a hair below. I’m just always scared ill forget and let it run low. Lol

        It won’t cause issues, but you should put the recommended amount in, if it’s slightly low when you change it that’s actually a completely normal thing. The oil is meant to burn off instead of your engine, it’s there to sacrifice itself

          I’d argue it’s better to be half a quart over than half a quart under, you’re not going to negatively affect anything with that extra half quart.
