As the title implies, someone has experience with the Panamera overlanding? My wife and I are looking for start doing some cross-country and overlanding in the next 2 years. We are considering an 4xe Wrangler to be equipped with a roof tent and other equipments. I had two Wranglers before and although great for off-roading, we are not looking for extreme roads, but a lot of cross-country. I’d like something that offers a great cruising, comfort, and basic off-road capabilities, but obviously nothing extreme. Any ideas?

I’d look at a Highlander or a Land Rover. A Panamera isn’t really suited at all for ‘overlanding.’ Driving to a campsite, sure. I have outfitted my Tacoma for actual long haul wilderness trips, and it does a good job of it. Too many people bandy around the word overlanding these days.

Yeah for real. If you’re just going car camping in the paved lot, anything that can fit the gear is probably fine.

My definition of “overlanding” requires at least a low range which is why I have a Discovery. Even a Highlander isn’t really enough. 4Runner, GX, or LC would be fine. WK2 or WL Grand Cherokee Trailhawk would work too.
