I knew SD was a powerful console but damn I wasn’t expecting this: Shadow of War 60 FPS locked on custom settings? I have textures on high too, beautiful.

It really is incredible playing slightly older titles on this thing. I fired up Max Payne 3 last night and I was getting 90fps on nearly max settings (MSAA 2x was the only one not completely cranked and it wasn’t needed anyways)

That is great. It was the main reason why I bought SD too, clearing unfinished games pile in my library

I played through Shadow of Mordor on my Steam Deck and loved it. Haven’t gotten around to playing though Shadow of War yet.

If you can get games to run around 15 watts, you’ll be pretty happy with battery life overall.

I’m constantly trying to lower my wattage. Mostly because I hate fan noise, but the battery benefit is super solid.

my LCD has a noisy Delta fan so I was all about tweaking settings to keep the system running as quiet as possible with the side-benefit of extended battery life, it’s been surreal upgrading to the LE OLED and barely hearing a whir even while cranking out graphics lol

Personally with the OLED I still don’t want to go above ~4500 RPM, which is the case at ~18-19W

Woah! I just started Shadow of Mordor on my deck and was blown away that I was getting 80 or so with everything maxed. Was wondering just how well it’d run SoW and this is a pleasant surprise lol.

Really? I’m glad to hear that, I’ve been wanting to try that game for while now, but kept hearing how poor it ran on SD. Thank you for the info!

As someone who has both the lcd and oled version, they feel like completely different consoles. I don’t even understand how they pulled this off. It’s become my main source of gaming. Runs Elden ring flawlessly for about 3+ hours.
