I have not always been a big football guy, but since a few years ago I have been way more into it. The only league I pay super close attention to is the premier league, and only follow a few teams in the other leagues. I am going to be living in Firenze for a while and am wondering what jerseys would be a bad idea to wear there? I was going to get a Federico Chiesa jersey but I know he left Fiorentina so I don’t think they’d like that.
Italians don’t wear jerseys. It’s a childish look.
Aquilani
Batistuta
Im an Inter fan. You should get Giuseppe Rossi.
i would suggest watching some fiorentina/serie a matches and seeing if you particularly like a player/team. florence is not a football mad city, wearing a football jersey around town is gonna make you look like a slob by italian standards no matter what team or player.
I disagree about the fact that Florence is not a football mad city. While it’s not Naples, the passion for Fiorentina is always there, it’s just that not many people wear football shirts if they’re not going to the game (I think the same goes for a lot of Italy as well).
If you were stuck around the city centre, though, I can see why you said that because unfortunately there aren’t many Florentines left in that part of town.
No name is always the best in my opinion, won’t go out of style, there’s no risk of that player leaving in a bad way or finding out later he’s a POS in his personal life. Alternatively get a custom one with a club legend like Bastistuta, Antognoni, Baggio or even Mutu.
No name could be a good call. I’m a Liverpool fan and I went with the training kit. Mostly because of price but they also look really cool
custom one with a club legend
Please DON’T!
Current season jersey with the name of a legend is a terrible choice under every possible account. It’s historically inaccurate/wrong and it makes the shirt worthless for future resale should you decide to get rid of it.
A current player might one day leave in a less than amicable way (see Bernardeschi, Chiesa, Vlahovic) but the shirt will still have value, if not for rabid fans at least for collectors and completists. (Say, a few days back I saw a Napoli Higuain shirt sold for 100 bucks…)
Blank is the best way for wearability and it’s future proof.
Who thinks of resale value, wtf
Oh well, one day you may want/need to get rid of some stuff… And good luck selling a 9 Van Basten or 69 Bunga Bunga shirt.
I would buy your bunga bunga shirt 100%
Gotta be Nico Gonzalez
