Haven’t seen one made, so here we go?

International break is over (finally), and Mik Arteta’s tricky reds are back on the menu!

I know it’s the first half of the season, and City could very well go on a 10 game winning streak From March, however they are not as strong as they were last season.

For sure. Which is why i feel it is such a waste that 1) Timber out for pretty much the entire season 2) we did not bring in a solid CF/ST option, with gabriel jesus quite not yet fully stable yet in terms of proneness to injury and nketiah not quite as reliable as we hope him to be 3) i still see RW as a position we need decent cover over for Saka

If we had all these 3 items sorted, gad damn we’ll be causing absolute mayhem this season. I am hopeful with 1) and 2) being resolved in the next summer, just wished we can capitalise with everything that is ongoing at the moment this season (and the previous one :( )

I completely disagree. We hear it every year, then they do exactly that and go on a run.

I thought they were the better team today but didn’t have the clinical edge like usual.

I’m hoping they drop pts always but they look fine to me honestly.

They were facing Liverpool, who while themselves weren’t great going forward, they stayed resolute for the most part. Liverpool are a very good team, though City was the better of the two I thought.

A good result for us in the end, but City look good as always imo.

It was very weird for a big game. A lot of spaces, chaos everywhere. I know Liverpool thrives on that, but that wasn’t ideal for city playing at home btw. City wasn’t able to play their game and mitigate Axg like we do for instance. They’re going through individuality alone.

Neither of them felt in control, which for Liverpool doesn’t mean that much but it’s very concerning for city, because we did have the control of the game when we won against them.

I actually thought it was fine, just Liverpool in final third surprised me how much bad decisions they made.

I thought City were in complete control that second half, Liverpool didn’t threaten apart from that goal.

I thought City played well, just not clinical in final third and Liverpool were fine.

I don’t think City are reliant on individuality.

They’ve been great this season imo, their usual good selves at this stage of the season.

I don’t think we controlled the first half vs City. Second half was better though from us.

Apart from some half chances in first half for Liverpool where bad touches were made, they didn’t really do much.

Apart from the first 15 minutes the field (which we were very lucky to no concede) tilt is all on our side

They had the kind of space that could be easily exploited 2 year ago.

They look less robotic and not for the better.

Both of them are lookin shaky.

We are the best team in the league in the eye test plus that ball progression map

We’re the hardest team to beat in the league, more than city.

Field tilt is not a conclusive stat. Field tilt also favoured us against Chelsea, and we didn’t control that game at all. Stats don’t tell the whole story of games.

I don’t think City are as shaky as you say but I hope they do become that ofc.

We’re not the best in the league currently with the eye test at all, come on lad.

Too much focusing on stats, but hey I hope we do become the best in the league.

City look fine to me, if 29pts/39 is “shaky” then I hate to see what they do when they get good. They’re not shaky brother.
