Hey Everyone, I am struggling to get VRR to work when docked. I have an MSI Optix MAG321CQR display, I am using the included displayPort cable and I have to official dock. I have verified that my screen adaptive sync is on and I got VRR to work on my windows desktop but I can’t figure out what to do with the steam deck. The VRR button is grayed out and it says “Display is not VRR compatible”. Any Ideas?? I am on OS 3.5.7

This thread came up when I searched “Steam deck Display is not VRR capable”.

I’m also running into the same problem. I also use the official dock + OLED steam deck. Both devices on the latest updates, and I’m using an LG C2 48" TV, which has VRR.

Things I’ve done so far with no luck:

    1. Restarting the steam deck
    2. Disconnecting everything off the dock, and plugging it back in
    3. Unplug, then replug the steam deck from the dock

Hopefullly someone else can chime in on how to enable the VRR toggle on steam deck?
    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

The VRR toggle on 3.5.7 has a bug right now with the official dock, even with supported hardware.

All the advice I have is just keep restarting the steam deck and unplugging the cables and dock until the toggle shows up again , but even that isn’t the beet advice because I’m not sure if the monitor/TV will show the settings the next time you plug it into the monitor/tv.

The same bug is happening with the HDR toggle in the quick settings, it’s super annoying.
