It’s funny that M30 fans always compare their idol to CR7 while CR7 is always compared to legends like Pele, Zidane, Ronaldinho. CR7 is clear of the goblin
The greatest career achievement of Ronaldo is he was considered being compared to Messi. I personally find it stupid, to compare 8 ballon d’or with 5, a tap in merchant to the best playmaker + best striker of all time. But the publicity (and paid bots maybe?) of Ronaldo managed to keep him in debate.
5 ballon dor by hard work is still better than 8 ballon dor of corruption. Ronaldo is objectively the better scorer and playmaker than Messi. He has the most assists and goals in UCL for a reason. Ronaldo is 40 years old and still banging 50 goals a year while Messi struggles in MLS at the age of 35 lmao.
That’s what I meant about the paid bots - downplaying Messi’s achievements (rigged, corrupted, easy, etc), and overplaying Ronaldo’s achievements (scoring 40 goals, but not mentioning the elite league he is playing in).
And assists is not the same as playmaking. Playmaking means controlling the flow of the game by setting up the tempo, creating spaces and chances, and movements that lead to a goal. Squaring off the ball to the next striker in the box is not playmaking.
