I am currently on my second SD card for it just dying and I think my second one has just gone and I have no clue why it happened. I haven’t used it for about 2 days and wanted to go on my steam deck, I realised there was an update, I finished doing my update, steam deck restarted and now it’s saying that I need to format my sd card. I’m clueless to what has happened and I tried to format my sd card both through the built in format and the KDE partition manager and both came back with errors. When I try to boot my steam deck it take ages to boot with my sd card inside but if I was to remove it it boots like normal. Any info would be much appreciated!!!
make/brand of sd-card? if its kingston, you will find numerous posts about dead sd-cards of that brand, if not then the more details you give the better help you might get.
Sandisk extreme 1tb A2, no partitions on KDE either
try and turn off the steam deck. Remove the sd card and put it back in then turn it back on and see
Done that it made the steam run very slow and took ages for it to just boot back up
