Hey all. To help shed some light on the issue, I am a digital artist and freelance illustrator who lives with tendonitis in my right hand as well as cubital tunnel in both elbows. Because of this I’m limited in how much I can do with my right hand and want to commit myself to art with it.
To that end, I’m retraining myself to try and game using my left hand only. I can play only so many types of games on PC with my left hand, which I could be further limited by as I may have to switch to a Mac Computer for work. Also I can use a Switch one-handed thanks to modified controls. Yet when I try remapping keys on the Deck it feels really difficult or nearly impossible, not to mention slightly less comfortable. Is there any way to work around this? And what types of games should I expect to be able to play or not in such a style?
I would appreciate insight on the matter before I fully commit to another resource for gaming such as buying games that can be played on Mac as well as PC or doubling down on Switch; maybe even PS4 with controller modifications. Thanks very much.
You could technically remap the controls to swap sides for each game. But swapping the buttons/dpad might be a bit odd, will still work however
