So I have yet to get my steamdeck to play around with this feature, but I was curious if anyone could explain to me how the Bios reset feature works. When steam releases an update, and the steam deck has to download it, how does the deck actually reset user settings such that there are scripts to actually prevent that from happening?

Basically, I’m not understanding how an update would cause the steam deck to reset its core configuration (on desktop mode) such that users would have to consistently reapply their configuration settings. Thanks in advance for the clarification
