Hey folks, for those with Garfield Kart or the similar other titled game (forgot what’s it called)- would you suggest getting it for SD? I like mario kart games, but i’ve not got a nintendo for it- thought it looks great but just thought of seeking out if yous have any feedback/reviews for this

Garfield Kart Furious Racing is fun to goof around in with friends for a few hours (unlike the first game which doesn’t have multiplayer), but I don’t think it’s more than that. If you see it on sale for a couple bucks it’s worth it imo but I don’t think it’s anything you’d boot up more than a few times unless you have a friend group that’s very dedicated to it. That said, in my testing it ran great on the deck.

there are lots of good kart racing games you can play on your steam deck, but also lots of terrible ones. most would agree that you can skip garfield kart, and the sequel.

besides mario kart, which you can play on the steam deck using emulation, you can check out the sonic racing series:

    • Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing
    • Sonic & Sega All-Stars Racing: Transformed
    • Team Sonic Racing

Some other noteworthy kart racers on steam:

    • Meow Motors
    • Super Indie Karts
    • The Karters 2: Turbo Charged (currently in beta)
    • KartRider: Drift
    • Disney Speedstorm (this one has mixed reviews)

Wasn’t a fan of Garfield Kart. Dreamworks All-Star Kart Racing isn’t bad but I wouldn’t buy it until you find a decent sale

Don’t buy Garfield kart. If you want a native kart racer, download SuperTuxKart from the Discover store in desktop mode. It’s 100% free and pretty fun to play. The character models are hit or miss though…
