My LE arrived on Wednesday, but with family here I only just now had the time to really test it out. There is a stuck pixel (magenta or red) in the top left section of the screen.

I’ve already created a ticket, but I’m wondering if there’s any point in getting another LE, or if I should just refund it and get the 1TB, hoping for a Samsung screen.

What are those of you in a similar boat doing? Are you warrantying the device, or are you refunding it and ordering a new one? Did you get another LE?

I’m giving it a few days. I have 1 dead pixel, but I don’t usually notice it unless I look for it. I have no interest in playing the screen lottery for something that has no real impact on me.

If by next week I find in bothers me too much I might look into sending it in but right now it doesn’t seem worth the hassle as currently the dead pixel is the only problem I’ve noticed.

Got 512GB OLED that I swapped my 1TB sabrent rocket in from my LCD.

    Samsung screen…no dead pixels.

Sorry you are having this issue.

I thought about going that route, but I play outside a good bit. I prefer the matte screen.

It is probably not a stuck pixel but a dead subpixel. If you do one of the pixel tests (google it, pull it up on the steam deck browser, it will float through the colors), if it is a dead subpixel it will appear black on whatever color it is, and won’t appear on the other two, i.e. if it is a green subpixel, it’ll appear as black on the green page, won’t show on the red or blue, and will show as a brownish-reddish dot on white.
