Wondering if AC devices such as an AX5300 device are faster than a slower spec device such as an AX2200? Price points for a Asus AC5300 is much lower than Asus AX device.

i have Plex on a NAS with a HDHomerun tuner upstairs with no wired connections that serves up over the air content to Rokus throughout the house and the stream sucks. wondering if faster AC would solve the issue or if AX is needed or if wifi 6E is the way to go with dedicated wireless backhaul?
