I’ll start with the Porsche 997, the 996 looked alright imo, but it looks “like a 90s Porsche”, the 997 made it look sleeker and more modern. Still looks good today.
As for cars that looked worse after a facelift? Maybe the facelifted 6th gen Camaro? The 6th gen looked great pre-facelift, but they did something weird with the headlights and now it looks so-so…
WK2 2013 to WK2 2014 to WK2 2017 is a crazy difference.
The first few years was Daimler Chrysler driven, the proven Hemi and newer Pentastar were backed by the intrepid but durable 5 speed. FCA refresh added LED lights and the ZF8 speed. 2017 comes around and it’s refreshed again. It ended up selling in 2 row form until 2022. An 11 year model is impressive but they managed to sell more in the later half of its lifespan than the first half!
