Small nitpick, but the Witch Spring series is Korean, not Japanese.

The series has been around for 8 years now and is a pretty popular paid mobile game series.
There’s currently 4 games in the series with the next one currently in the works and at least one more confirmed coming after that one.

The two PC/console releases are Witch Spring 3 Re:Fine (remake of 3) and now Witch Spring R (remake of 1).
There’s also a third PC/console game in development that takes place after the story of 4 but there hasn’t been any new information about it since 2021, so it’s assumed that it’s on hold at the moment or was possibly abandonded.

So I wouldn’t exactly consider the series underrated, it’s just had a very narrow group of fans since it’s a paid mobile game series.
The porting and remaking of the games is simply expanding the knowledge of an already popular series out to people who would normally not spend money to buy games on their phone.
