I’m getting my first Steam Deck for Christmas and suffering from analysis paralysis on which games to get first lol (especially as I’ll have to be more limited on what I spend than I’d like), so I was curious what AAA games you’ve played on the SD that you enjoyed the most so far.
The one I’d really love to play is Baldur’s Gate 3 but I‘ve seen a lot of mixed reactions on how well it plays on the SD so I’d probably wait to play it especially as I’m not very technologically literate lol. But some others I’m considering are Cyberpunk 2077, Witcher 3, Elden Ring, Skyrim, Fallout 4, RDR2, and Sekiro
Another vote for Cyberpunk.
Witcher 3 with a mod to make the UI bigger is super good.
It’s an old AAA game but Fallout: New Vegas can run maxed at basically 60fps and get decent battery life. It’s probably the first “big” game that I decided I liked better on the deck.
The Mass Effect LE trilogy.
Hello, a question: what’s the mod for The Witcher 3? Thanks!
To this day this is the only mod for any game I’ve installed on the Steam Deck. I followed the directions carefully, including the settings and it worked perfectly.

I also used Cryobytes’s “Golden 40” graphic recommendations but did NOT bother installing his utility and still got great results. IMO, even before the 3.5 SteamOS update it wasn’t necessary and is probably even less needed now but the in game setting are money.
