I’ve always wanted to get a laptop, but every time I try to type on one, I just can’t. I could never get use to the feeling of the keyboard. It’s mainly the ‘action’ on the keyboard keys of a laptop keyboard which I hate. I also want a full keyboard, with a number pad, arrow keys and ins/del/home/pgup/pgdown keys in the same place as a typical Desktop keyboard, although those have changed in design, as well. I’m not a fan of it.

Do any laptops exist with such a keyboard design? I suppose an alternative would be to use a Microsoft Surface Pro and a Wireless Desktop keyboard of my choice.

You can use any laptop with any usb keyboard if that helps. If you already have a laptop, it’ll be much cheaper to buy and you can get a full mechanical keyboard that suits you.

Higher end gaming laptops yes. Productivity laptop no. Basically nowadays most are made to be portable and light. Alternative options would be external keyboard

Yeah, unfortunately I’m not small like most people, I’m a big guy with large hands. On a regular Desktop computer, I can probably type 80 wpm. On a laptop, I’m lucky if I can type 1/4 that speed.
