I recently noticed that my friends Q7F has waayyy smoother menus and response than my own QN60 even though its newer. Obviously his is a more premium TV and I assume Samsung purposefully under equips their lower end models with cheap slower chips to make their higher end TV’s seem nicer. But I am curious, what is the baseline for this methodology? Samsungs models get more and more confusing every year so I’m wondering what is their cheapest TV that allows a smooth experience? I feel as if I would be better off buying a high end Samsung TV from a couple years ago than a mid range Samsung TV from 2023 simply due to this, because panel technology seriously hasn’t come that far in that many years has it?
You answer your question. It is same with phones. You buy now middle tier and it will be slower and lack of features than 2 y old flagship. I do not see any misunderstanding here. It always was like that and it is not only Samsung thing. You can buy 5 y old high tier mercedes and it will be better than new base line from today…
