Don’t get me wrong, I love Samsung. I have 2 phones, Samsung M33 and Samsung J6. Both are fabulous with a headphone jack and expandable storage, which I prefer. However, their flagship S series phones totally copy Apple.

Apple removed the headphone jack and expandable memory from iPhones, and Samsung copied it. Apple removed chargers from their iPhones, and Samsung again copied that. Now, the iPhone 15 has a titanium body, and there are leaks that the Samsung S24 will come with a titanium body.

There was a time when Samsung made videos on mocking Apple for removing the headphone jack. Now they are blatantly copying them.

Did Samsung run out of innovative ideas?

It is a good thing to copy something if it is good. And that is what Samsung is doing, the only caveat is that it is good for their margins (less cost to manufacture the device in the case of the battery, microSD and headphone jack plus the revenue from upsellong higher memory cuts and wireless earbuds) but it is not good for consumers.

Regarding the titanium body marketing is king in companies… Apple needed it because stainless steel is to heavy and they needed something premium sounding and lighter to replace it. Samsung and the others who use alluminum did not need it as alluminum is lighter if titanium has the same dimensions but from a marketing pov they would be behind Apple hence why everyone is rushing to put it inside their phones.

At the end of the day is the costumer’s fault for buying artificially limited devices and for following marketing crap…
