I’ve been using my Steam Deck as my main computer for the last couple months. Desktop mode used to be pretty slow when loading pages or starting up videos, but it’s become much snappier after updating.

The one issue I had was after updating. My monitors would, for some reason, randomly be set to 30hz. I was able to fix the issue by changing the Latency option in Display Settings to “Prefer smoother animations” rather than “Force smoothest animations.”

Couldn’t find anything about desktop mode responsiveness by searching the sub, so thought I’d let others know in case anyone was unsure about upgrading like I was.
