Honestly, 99% won’t notice a difference in performance between a 340i, m340i, and an M3. Most people don’t track their cars or push them to their limits. So, if it’s the interior that’s bothering you, the F80 is going to be the same problem. On the other hand, going from a 340i to an m340i is going to be a difference in interior, but you might regret spending a ton of money just to have a little more modern interior.
I also drive a 2016 340i, and right now my thought process is keep driving it until I can afford a jump to something that’s going to be an upgrade in performance AND comfort. Wait until you can afford a G80 IMO
