I was in this same predicament a few weeks ago. My G80 M3 goes into production week 49. Fuck it, you only live once.

MSRP. Based on everything I was seeing I was doing good to just avoid dealer markup. If you got yours for under MSRP, share your secrets.

I got mine for msrp as well but I’ve been reading of other people getting g80s for under MSRP. Makes sense since the car market is pretty bad right now and only getting worse.

I did saw M4 convertible getting discounted for 2 - 4K since it was winter season in CO, USA.But didn’t see any G80 discounts yet from the dealers. Did you get any better financing rates, I’m currently locked at 6.29% for 60 months ETA Jan 2024.

Mines at the port right now, hoping it doesn’t sit there too long. I’m financing with a credit union which is 5% for 60 months

Do you mind sharing which credit union ?

I thought we couldn’t rate lock with credit unions.

Look up USSFCU and University credit union. There are some requirements though and you need to qualify.

wait, where are you hearing we can’t use credit unions? I confirmed with the person that got my allocation (out of state dealer) that I could but not the actual dealer that is receiving my car.

Got it. I’ll check them out.

No I was under the impression of rate locking only exists with BMW FS option & not the traditional credit unions or banks. But it seems we can rate lock since you did it for your car.

Just re-reading your post, you were week 21 of 2023 and you are just getting it in January 2024? I was told to expect early February 2024 delivery on my week 49 2023 build.

I got a bit lucky with my dealer. Since I was in 3rd queue but 1 of them dropped & 1 wanted to wait more 3 months. So i was able to get my build submitted by Oct first week.

I was in queue from June/ July first week.

I went to one of the biggest dealers in my region and they had a waiting list over 12 months to get one built. I ended up getting a way faster allocation going to the small dealer by my house, that felt like it’s own victory. Given the demand for these cars, I just can’t imagine much discounting is happening.
