I’m an idiot and got to excited on launch day. I thought I ordered the LE, bought the 1tb standard haha 🤦♂️ I can’t be asked now to return it and wait another week or more for a different case. I need to publicly atone for my stupidity.

What is the LE? The only time I’ve read LE was in Skyrim
I made the same mistake but realized a few hours after ordering. Was able to refund to steam wallet and reorder the next day.
Make sure to check for dead subpixels, they’ll only show up on their color as black, and on white the color of the dot will change. I.e. RGB, if it is a dead Green Subpixel it will show as Black on Green, Reddish on White, and won’t show up on Red or Blue at all.
Mildly frustrating to deal with, hopefully they have plenty of spare LE’s lying around in my case, pretty sure the 1TBs all share the same manufacturer.
Not sure why no one is mentioning this. If you really want the LE, return the one you got and go order an LE they are still in stock.
I don’t know why we should still call it limited edition: seems there are more orders on this version than the regular one, and still in stock. Valve, if you hear me, push some to Europe

Yeah there are multiple versions. If you go to the page for the steam decks you will see the 512gb and 1TB. If you scroll down more you will see “Available in limited quantities in the U.S. and Canada Limited Edition… and the button in orange saying Available Now!

I did the exact same thing. I’m considering a conspiracy theory that they ran out of LE models and changed our orders to the regular model. LOL
The LE shell is chintzy compared to the regular, that is why it is so much lighter. Already shopping for a replacement shell.
By chintzy do you mean it flexes more?
A lot more, very noticable by both feel an being able to hear it grind at the joints when it does it. I checked others and it just seems to be what you get for making the shell the way they did. I wouldn’t be surprised if someone had their shell break from holding it on one end too often until it gives up
