Been thinking about getting rid of my 16 BMW m235i for a Golf R mk8.

Any folks on here who have done the same/similar willing to share their positives/negatives etc?

      Golf r is probably still more fun to drive. F chassis leaves a LOT to be desired as far as driver engagement goes. Golf probably isn’t much better but the bar is pretty low.

    I would expect the Golf to handle better, be more comfortable and quicker in the real world most of the time.

    Will also have better tech and safety obviously (to a fault it may seem from reviews).

    The M235i will sound better and likely be as quick from a roll.

    Golf R is tuned to go full send all the time. At least the 235 can be comfortable too. Just a matter of what personality you are!
