First of all, I am looking for a reliable and economical car to use for mostly motorway driving.

Second of all, I think BMWs are anything but…

So I was recommended an F20 1 Series 116d EfficentDynamics Plus with the B37 engine.

Which supposedly does 65-75 miles to the (UK) gallon

And according to WhatCar?’s used car reliability report, it is the number one most reliable car in the small family car category

These two statements go against anything I have ever thought and I feel super gullible for even looking at them online.

Also they are cheaper than all the other runner ups I am trying to choose between.

#My only questions:

Are they reliable, and what problems do they have if any

Is it actually that economical to run, and where is the catch?

Why are they so affordable and what are the hidden costs that are going to ambush me?

Cheers

If Lexus and Infinity were 10K less than BMW, it would be tougher to justify. But, when those companies make cars “like BMW’s” and charge the same prices or more, BMW is the place to be. It’s where we all want to be in the first place.
