So I’m looking for a Cross and saw this interior pic on AutoTrader. Can’t believe the lousy looking seat finish. Yikes!
Mine doesn’t look this, but I also don’t have leather or its mimics because I hate it.
Toyota, the car that boasts long term reliability while also suggesting you must buy that $4k 40k extended drive train warranty from 60k to 100k because just in case… /s
This model is manufactured at a plant that is a joint venture between Mazda and Toyota. It does not seem to have the same process standards as a straight up Toyota plant. Although it’s only been fully operational a couple of years, buzz is Mazda/Toyota has had a rough go at hiring and keeping talent. Source: live in the area, it’s talked about often.
Tell them, this is not normal and will be fixed.
It’s a Toyota, not a Lexus.
It is very cheap on the inside. I’m driving a 2023 Forester that makes it look like a tonka toy🤣 Stop appoligizing for Toyota!!! They’re mailing it in in the USA.
I think it’s hilarious that I got a Honda ad on this page.
I’ve seen this before also but it had aftermarket seat upolstery. The customer requested a pleather seat upolstery on a LE cross and it came back looking like that. I think Classic Soft trim did the work.
Yeah it’s insane we pay near $30k for a car and get crappy uncomfortable seats. What’s worse is everyone is okay with that and tend to say “you want better get a more expensive car, it’s not a luxury car.”
It shouldn’t take luxury price ranges or a luxury car to have comfortable seating and a decently nice interior to be in. These companies make millions off of us. Yet They refuse to spare the tiniest portion of their precious profit to allow their customers to be decently comfy.
I’m astonished by the number of people in here who are so cuckolded Toyota that they see this as acceptable because “it’s not a luxury vehicle.” Even Toyota would have an issue with this level of quality control lol.
It’s made in a facility that’s only about 2 years old (with most of the workers there being new to car manufacturing) which is half-run by Mazda.
It’s not acceptable but it also ain’t a Lexus. Cheap car means cheap build. That’s why the price is low.
Just a reminder Toyotas are not cheap, they are on the upper end of the spectrum of ‘mainstream’ brands
Oh noooo it’s literally undrivable
Would you buy it? I’m not.
Look into a Mazda cx-5 waaaay better quality for essentially the same price
Everybody assuming it is build quality and not and design issue probably believes the line workers lead to the past recalls.
