Hey guys, Let me give everyone a break from all the “when is One UI 6 coming to my phone” posts by putting a different annoying post up lol!
So I just switched from the A71 to the S23 FE. The battery life’s been pretty terrible and I’m trying to calibrate the battery, drain it all the way to zero, slow charge it up to 100 and then use normally. But the battery drains so quickly like 4 hours sot, even less.
So how long do those batteries take to calibrate to be able to get the advertised battery life? Or is the processor here (Snap dragon) just that inefficient?
Any advice would be appreciated!
I’ve a samsung J5 Fe which I use for listening to music and videos and S21 Fe for normal use. Both last 24 hours at least depend on my daily use.
The J5 lasts something around 72 hours but I have just a few apps installed. The S21 has all the apps I use like Instagram, Reddit, Emails, Whatsapp and last 48 hours or a little more.
I don’t keep them connected to the internet all the time neither 4G and bluetooth but GPS is turned on, dark mode, and all the apps except a few ones have no permission to run in background.
For me It doesn’t make sense having a super powerfull smartphone if the battery lasts just 24 fuc***g hours.
I avoid letting their batteries reach zero but as soon they reach 100% I took them off the outlet.
Same thing, switched from a71 to s23 fe battery life is horrible
I’m hoping it’ll stabilize eventually. Honestly can’t afford anything higher (like the pixel 8) so I’m keeping it. The processing speed is SOOOO much better than the A71 I’ll just deal with the bad battery life tbh love the phone for everything other than that
My battery life on my S23 FE is much better than that. The SD8 Gen 1’s issue was overheating which (at least on my model) is not an issue at all.
Have you checked what is draining the battery?
Nothing at all, and the percentages that the battery app is giving don’t line up with real world drain at all
Disable 120hz use dark mode. The battery life being bad could also be because of some other reason. I remember my Realme gt 2 pro used to have around 6 hours of screen on time.
This may help.
In battery options put all apps to be always unactive.
In my case, I only have Whatsapp, youtube and zoom, in “never unactive mode” because those I use the most.
Also disable find my phone of samsung, and sending marketing in the background, cant remember exactly where, but we send information to samsung and google in the background.
I have also turned off “Hey google” function, i guess it hears me all day and that may drain.
Of course use 60hz and not sure if in s23fe you can change screen resolution.
I have a A54 and I’m having like 6:30 SOT and 8h screen off time.
Let me know if some of this was useful
