I noticed that when moving the thumbstick in circular motions that the stick would bind/click ever so slightly. I didn’t notice it at first but once I did I couldn’t not notice it every time I used it.

I looked online and some of you had suggested moving the wire that is connected to the thumbstick out of the way so it wouldn’t get caught but after 30 minutes of looking at this wire I noticed that on the momentary switch, there was a bit of gray dust. I noticed that the inner edge of the gray thumbstick cap was rubbing on the outer corners of the momentary switch. Taking a small file and smoothing out the inner edge of the thumbstick cap has fixed this completely. It’s not a faulty thumbstick as per say but the tolerances of the thumbstick cap and momentary switch are just too tight. a little bit of sanding on the inside fixed it and now my STOCK (non-hall effect) sticks are silky smooth again. Just figured I’d share in case someone else is having this same issue.

I’ve marked in the photo where mine was rubbing.
