Hey I have a 05 trailblazer ext and wanted to test out how it would sound and if it’s bearable to do a muff delete so I wanted to know if it’s safe to just unbolt the flange where the cat meets the muff pipe and drive it around like that

Not really safe. The exhaust gases need to be guided away from the vehicle. If the exhaust comes out there it could melt something in the area or worse poison you with carbon monoxide.
