I live in Toronto, Ontario, Canada and received the order confirmation 20 minutes post release for a 512GB OLED. Finally got the package notification on Saturday, November 25th, shipment went out on Monday, November 27th with a November 29th delivery standard. Delayed in customs on the 29th then delayed again on the 30th with no explanation (I called FedEx and they couldn’t explain why it was delayed 3 times in the past 24 hours on the tracking page). Fingers crossed it gets here later today (the 30th) but at this point think I’ll be lucky to get it this week.
If I go to order a new steam deck right now, it still says 3-5 days but I emailed support last week asking what the ETA to Canada was and the rep said 8 days minimum. I think what’s happening here is the perfect storm of Thanksgiving + near X-Mas shipping on FedEx’s side, Pearson being completely overwhelmed as usual and Valve not caring enough about Canada to update the shipping page based on your account region.
