• Car: Toyota, Corolla, 2010, 8th digit of VIN: E

  • This summer my Corolla began vibrating (such as the steering wheel) when I was braking and near a full stop. This issue occurs more often when I am breaking downhill. Recently, I began hearing a noise (like a creaking door) from the front of the car when I am braking and near a full stop. Not sure if this matters, but my oil change light went on yesterday as well.

  • I would appreciate it if anyone could help me identify the issue here. Is it the rotors, brake pads, tires?

Probably brake rotors and/or pads (but you usually replace pads and rotors together). Not tires, if it only happens when you’re braking.

It is very possible for tire noise and vibration in the front end to become more apparent when braking as the front is weighted down, and I’ve seen that even on smaller toyotas before, but this definitely sounds like warped rotors.
