Hey y’all, I got my OLED LE Steam Deck yesterday afternoon.

I remember seeing somewhere in the patch notes for the last stable release that said that you should be able to transfer the files from one Steam Deck to another via USB-C cable. I tried doing that on my end, and besides sharing power - my Dual Decks appear to do nothing else.

I only really have one game emulator I’m trying to save (Star Wars Galaxies), and while I can download and refile the rest of the games on my SSD in the Library, I’d rather not go through the hassle of putting a 20 year old game that’s long since been deactivated and dead on to the system again.

I’m pretty sure you can’t do the transfer via cable that way. You can swap the ssd’s. Make sure both are updated

Maybe I was just hoping it would be that easy xD. I sell Smartphones and Tablets and that is one of the ways to file transfer - wishful thinking on my part.

But one of the reasons I got the new Deck was because of Storage. I nearly maxed out on the 256 GB one I had.

i would just use the network features such as using ssh to transfer stuff.

Of course You could just use a flash drive as a transfer medium.

The USB to USB feature I think is not enabled by default. But I have not really kept up with the various updates features.
