Tesla has opened its Superchargers to all non-Tesla EVs in Korea, allowing other brands to access its charging network. The company eventually plans to open all 1,007 chargers in Korea to all automakers.
It wouldn’t make a difference because Tesla would still have software locked everyone else out of it? If the plug itself was the issue adapters would have been out years ago. Just like Tesla drivers have had no issue charging at CCS stations for years.
South Korean Ioniq 5 drivers seem to be just as SOL as North American Ioniq 5 owners when it comes to having access to the Supercharger network outside of the handful of locations with the magic dock.
Imagine if NA govs would have mandated one plug style From the start….

How is this relevant here though? South Korea appears to have the same issue as NA despite KATS apparently adopting CCS as the standard connector over 5 years ago.

Korean drivers have to deal with much shorter distances. Home charging is plenty for 99%+ of situations.
