Hi i have my car which i have started to drive less and less , like once in a week.I see that each time its more difficult to start the first time, since the battery seems to go a bit low.i have changed the battery 6 months ago.i have some electronics connected which i think in backgroud drain some mA.i have a power outlet in the garage and a simple 12v charger like 5A.

What is the best solution to keep my battery healthy, even if not driving frequently?

Thanks

    options are:

    • Battery disconnect (you can get switches or quick disconnects)
    • battery maintainer that you plug in once a week/or put on a schedule
    • solar charger (haven’t had great luck myself with this)

Additionally I found if your car has a car alarm, not engaging the alarm, and just locking the door drains the battery less
