Worried I might have got a great deal on new tires but screwed up by passing on the overpriced alignment service.
It depends if the tech marked shit to put things back or said fuck it it’s getting an alignment
You can have visually noticeable wear with 500 miles on a poorly aligned vehicle
Don’t do it.
I wouldn’t do it without an alignment.
So consensus is looking like I screwed up not getting it aligned. I don’t have any other option but to drive it. I can get it aligned after we get there after 250 miles. Anything else I can do to mitigate the damage?
Not really just hope that the tires don’t get too damaged
And air your spare just in case
Why dont align it now???
There’s no way anyone here can tell. It depends on the tech who installed it and the possibility of slight differences in parts.
Measure the distance between the centers on the front of the tires then again at the back of the tires. You’ll no how close you are.
