What do you think about Mourinho’s statements on La Liga’s lack of competitiveness ?
“I was in Spain, but I didn’t enjoy it because I won a title with a record of 100 points and 121 goals, but we played only three or four competitive matches all season. There is a big, big gap between the giants and the others."
“This season I rested a few players against Bradford and I lost against Bradford. And that is English football. You are winning 2-0 and you concede a goal you know you are going to have hell for the last few minutes and you might draw 2-2 and lose two points,”
“This is the reality of the Premier League. You have no time. It’s not just about the number of matches, it’s the intensity. And it’s not just physical intensity, you feel the intensity mentally.
“I think the difference between the two leagues [Premier League and La Liga] is huge. Would they [Barcelona and Real Madrid] win the Premier League? Maybe yes. Maybe not.”

And thats why the Bundesliga is the most entertaining league after PL.
Serie A title race the last 4 years has been the best by farrrrr
Why? Only two teams rule there too - Bayern and Leverkusen
Bundesliga has much more to offer.
The emperor of all shit stirrers strikes again
Half of the things that come out of him mouth and make the news are sour grapes comments.
When you see Newcastle 3-0 PSG, that’s when you know premier league is on a completely different level compare to the all other leagues.
Yeah and Tolouse beat liverpool 3-2
Maybe at the time La Liga didn’t have a lot of competition but today it’s another story. There are ten teams that can compete for the title. In the Premier League it’s always been the case. But in both leagues there are similarities. Barcelona, Real Madri, Atletico Madrid, Valencia are always the title favorites. In the PL MC, Liverpool, Chelsea, MU, Arsenal are the ones who won almost all the titles for the last three decades. So these comments are outdated.
Was this quote after he lost the title? lol
How many Ballon DOrs were from the EPL in the last decade?
Do you think Haaland should’ve won the Ballon dor?
Ballon D’Or is a popularity contest, in the past decade dominated by 2 single players who happened to play in La Liga.
Yeah but Ligue 1 is Farmers League you people say
And Liga is top tier even though it’s only Barca or Real winning with 90+ points all the time + huge gap
Just curious. I’ve always thought Premier League is better than La Liga. But, how do we all reconcile that with European results? It’s not just Barca and Real in UCL. It also includes Atlético and Sevilla in UEL. Is it that EPL is deeper so top teams are more tired in Europe?
Barca in the champions League? Lmao. 8 years ago maybe.
The Spanish league is less intensive and those teams can manage their squads easier with resting players etc. In the premier league you have to play your best or else you will just lose. In als Liga you could play squad players and still win especially if you’re the top two. So you get a good team that’s better rested playing a good team that plays intense games twice a week. We always see teams being weaker after a champions league game, you can’t even rest your players in the prem because you will risk losing. You don’t have that in La Liga. They still play good football but edge it out having an easier league.
Very true. People on here think they know better than Mourinho 😂
And why cron and messi’s stats need to be taken in context
Conte said the same thing. Of course fans of other leagues will always deny it but the managers and players always say the same thing- the EPL is harder and more stressful than any other league.
Do you have a link to the Ronaldo one by any chance?
La Liga still dominate Europe
Europa League* fffy
In the last 10 years in the Premier League, Man United, Man City, Leicester, Chelsea, and Liverpool all won the league. In La Liga - Real Madrid, Barca and Atletico. La Liga is dull compared to the Prem.

Your fanboyism is really showing
So City have been dominant in the past few years…? That doesn’t change anything, the competition as a whole is more competitive than La Liga, Real and Barca are always in the UCL.
*money. The competition isn’t higher, the average salary and reward money is
undeniable that there a higher number of strong teams that can hurt you in the pl
