Why? College football stadiums in the US, at least in the P5, routinely sell out, and are larger than the biggest stadiums in European football.
For example, Neyland Stadium at the University of Tennessee, a team that literally hasn’t won a trophy since 1998 (and hasn’t even won their division since 2007) sells out at 100,000+ fans every. single. weekend.
How many games do they have in that stadium? Because if it sells out just because of American football that’s a tiny amount of games. Easier to get those numbers when you play a dozen times a year.

This happens all over the P5.
That’s crazy. How big are the NFL stadiums?
(I’m assuming NFL is even more popular than college football?)
My NFL stadium in Seattle holds 69,000 and up to 72,000 with standing room

And like 10x the population.
every. single. weekend. (7 Saturdays out of 52 a year.)
What’s the p5?
I don’t care for the game in such a large arena. No doubt that teams could sell it I just dont care for the look of the big open stadium.
