    Mine’s the same as it’s been for a year and a half, and the same as my ICE was before that. Stop fearmongering.

      Same. Insurance on my Tesla was pretty much exactly the same as my BMW ICE. Insurance costs have gone up recently, but about the same amount for both my car and my wife’s ICE

    Time to force ‘right to repair’ on car manufacturers, including reasonable pricing for replacement parts and open diagnostic hardware. Or this will continue to get worse.

    Hyundai got unwanted attention for quoting $50,000 CAD for a replacement battery for a 2017 Ioniq last week.

    EVs aren’t it moment. Cost of ownership before you even move a mile is insane compared to a commuter ICE. Especially if you don’t drive a lot.

      That’s completely contrary to all of the TCO calculations I ran before I bought my car, and 2 years in, they are still marching up as expected.
