Just received my OLED model today and trying to move some files from my old Deck to my new Deck and the new one isn’t recognizing my USB drive. The old one still recognizes it when I plug it in but the new one won’t. Tried restarting, formatting etc. Any idea?

Can you break this down for me? I don’t have much knowledge when it comes down to working with computers. I managed to emulate PS1 & PS2 games on my silicon MacBook but I can’t seem to get my OLED Steam Deck to detect my Samsung flash drive. It’s just a simple Type-C drive. It was said to be compatible so I went with that.

My MacBook detects it perfectly fine and could accept my files on my desktop no problem. But when it came down to plugging it into my Steam Deck, no devices popped up. I already formatted it to exFAT as well. Still nothing. The flashdrive doesn’t seem defective.

I need this to work so that I can finish setting up EmuDeck but I’m completely lost now. I don’t have access to a Windows PC so i’m not so sure if that is the problem.

Also I was mostly just going to have the files like the ROMs and whatnot downloaded onto the Steam Deck’s internal storage for now.

Sorry I don’t know if you can help me on this, but I really just hope my Deck isn’t defective…
