I recently posted here asking if Toyota generally offers a parts discount around this time of year. They did end up going live with the sale yesterday and it provides 25% off all OEM parts if you order online. The discount will appear in your cart at checkout It can also be combined with any existing discounts.

    I ordered a hitch online and selected a dealer to fulfill the order. The dealer promptly cancelled the order despite having the part in stock. I guess the 25% deal offered by Toyota is cutting into the dealers profit margin and they’re not willing to play. :/

    So this is what I have learned in regards to this Black Friday Promotion. Toyota Dealers have the option to Participate or Not in this promotion. I have personally gone to a Dealer to have some Body work done and wanted to order the parts needed to take advantage of the Promotion. The Dealer would not honor the Promotion. The in house Collision Center at the Dealer would not allow it either. Even though the parts are Factory Parts, the Dealer would not install the Factory Parts. It’s a Scheme to have people Order ON LINE the parts. Then you could either install the parts yourself or have an Independent Mechanic do the work. But the Toyota Dealers will not use Authorized Toyota Manufactured Parts that you ordered from the Manufacturer. What a scheme.
