Title. I plan on buying an Apple watch to track my health and sleep, I could not care any less for any of the smartwatch things that the watch can do. I would love to have it higher up on my forearm or even on my bicep if possible like a whoop, if anyone has tried it I would love to hear your experience.

Yeah you should be able to wear it like a bicep cuff

The higher location may impact your health stats reporting heart rate, breathing assuming it’s over clothing but should still work

I sometimes put mine on a bicep band for workouts. If I’m going on a run I track the run itself with a Garmin watch (I prefer Garmin for sports tracking but Apple Watch for day to day smartwatch) and the Apple Watch is there for Apple Music, an emergency phone, and things like that. It works perfectly well on my upper arm. I wouldn’t want to wear it there day to day though since it is hard to see the display or navigate the watch’s UI but for a workout where once I start the music I don’t have to do much with it it works.

That said, in your case I’d go with something simpler. The Apple Watch seems like overkill for what you want it to do.

I’m sure someone makes an arm strap for the Watch. That said, if you don’t care for the smartwatch features, ecosystem integration, or having it on your wrist, why don’t you just get something else?
