i bought this used laptop on the basis that it has a Ryzen3 processor, but when i did lscpu i found this model “AMD A4-9125 RADEON R3, 4 COMPUTE CORES 2C+2G”, so is this really a Ryzen3 or i was scammed?

It’s not that bad. Probably you’re concerned by CPU peaks much more than CPU performance you really required. How many bucks you gave?
