Im thinking about getting a 2015 428i Coupé manual, ran 120.000 km for 21.590 Bucks from my local BMW Dealer. Is it worth it? Would be my first bimmer. Sorry for bad pic quality

It’s a car, maybe not the best not the worst. But it is a 4-series so leaning more towards the best than worse side

My bank wouldn’t finance a 2016 328i for 18k. Said it was worth 15k and I’d have to put 4k down. My opinion wait till prices get more realistic shopping for these cars

428i really is more than enough in normal city driving. Unless you are overtaking somebody at 150 mph, you do not need a 435i

if it has bmw’s 4 cylinder you’re going to be let down on performance, other than that. It’s a great car.

do your self a favor and testdrive manual vs. ZF 8speed… the automatic is great in the 3-series… given you don’t list how it’s specd, i assume it’s bare minimum, that car is way overpriced for that kilometers driven.

See if you can stretch the budget to a 430i mate :)

      430i

The difference between acceleration is really minimal. 435i or 440i is where you can notice the difference. 430i not so much especially 0-60 (it is the same)

Dad has a f10 528i, nice car and all. However would save some more money for a 30i newer model. This is because they use the B48 engine instead of the n20. N20 is not bad, however the B48 is in a class of it’s own.

Yep, after owning a B48, that is clearly the better choice. Now if OP can stretch their budget to a B58…you got an instant classic.

I had one as a loaner. I personally like a little more power but tbh, it’s more than enough for most people. I also love the liftback.

The half screen CarPlay is what pissed me off.

Make sure it has the updated timing chain. This costs around 3-4k if it hasn’t been done already.

Other than that it’s an amazing car.

I love my ‘15 428i (just hit 60k miles), had since ‘18, almost fully optioned (except no Xdrive). It’s awesome, I love it, but after having driven a new M440i loaner, the 28/30 is just not worth the money saved vs a 35/40. Also there will be some repairs because of 4 cylinder you might not have in the 6. Namely I just had to replace right engine strut. I know there’s more stuff that comes with the 28’s.
