Find a genre you like and pick a game. That’s how I choose

Make a small list of games you would play, then roll a dice. Key is to stick with it

I mostly like single player games with a story to them or some sort of campaign so when I’ve completed a game I just choose another that strikes my fancy. Usually it’s something different from what I just did.

So for instance I last played XCOM Enemy Unknown and I thought I’d move on to XCOM 2, but once I was done I felt like something different so I played Psychonauts instead and after that I was pumped for Psychonauts 2. I’m almost finished with Psychonauts 2 and I’m thinking a 2D platformer, or Metroidvania, or First Person Shooter may be next.
